Do you design with ads in mind? I mean a layout for a not-developed website that receives no visitors. Is it worth having blank spaces all over the place on your site? Note: Most affiliate programs do not accept sites with less than 1000 impressions a day. So, that means, you'll have blank spaces for about 5-6 months until you receive enough traffic to apply.

Perhaps you should put up your own ads on your site?

I haven't found that to be true for many...adsense, Amazon, clixgalore, for example, take low traffic sites. You can easily fill those spaces with these, then sign up for the big boys when site traffic allows, no?

Right, never thought of that, I was just mainly thinking of CPM programs(the major ones) since I've never had any luck with CPC.

What kinds of ads would you leave space for?
