I am going to start buying domain names and I don't know if it is better to buy names with the .net or .org. There are also many other options (.biz) and just wondering which one is the best.
If there isn't .com go for .net. If there is no .net go for .org. If there is no .org get a new domain
Unless you are buying domains to develop a website for an organization I would just stay away from the .org's. Stick to buying .com and .net if you are just looking for the value of the domain name itself. Anyone ever get good values/returns off .org's? It seems to be pretty unanimous that .net is a better buy over .org.
Why not choose a .com one?If it's not available, then choose .net.It's a little popular than .org.By the way,it still has some relationship with the kind of website you plan to build.Different domain extension has are suitable for different area.
Unless it's a non-profit related name (like fightcancer.org or something along those lines) then go for .net if you can, you have to think "does the name fit the extension?"
.com - For commercial use .net - For networking use .org - For organization use According to your requirement you can use it I hope it will help.
.net would be after .com .If it's information related, then after .net would be .info .If it's just about a business, then .biz
.net and .org both good for different cases IMO, if you have enough budget, register the top 3 tlds is quite enough.
In your case .net is better than others .org and .biz. The .net is second most popular domain name extension.
