When building links how many on average would you make a day?

When building backlinks, how many on average would you make a day and how do you find them?

 

It's best to build links geometrically rather than linearly. In other words 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,124 etc rather than 10, 20,30,40,50,60.......

 

What is the advantage in this?

 

It's more natural for a site to grow geometrically. If you add exactly 100 or 200 links per day it will raise a red flag to google

 

what do ppl find are the best places to build links, say social bookmarking first or directories, articles etc?

 

You have to mix 'em up. If all you links come from articles, Google will know what you are up to. If all you links come from blog comments, Google will know what you are up to. If all your links come from social bookmarking, Google will know what you are up to...seeing a pattern here?

To appear natural to Google you need to a wide variety of links so use all the resources at your disposal instead of concentrating on just one or two

So if I done 100 links a day every day google will flag this?

So I should do 64 one day and the next day 32 and the day after that 124 and so on, is this correct?

 

How many links Google would expect a site to gain will depend oin many factors including the site's age and the level of traffic to the site. New site with no visitors = build links slowly. Old site with good traffic = links can be built more quickly.

Add the first few links slowly and then slowly turn up the volume - after a few months you can be adding a few hundred or even a few thousand per day.

I think I may have been flagged by google for my technique.

How long does google penalize you?

 

If you add too quickly you could wind up sandboxed. It's not really a penalty but the links won't count for a certain amount of time and you won't show in the SERPs. It could be just for a few weeks but the longest I have spent is 18 months!

 

on 1 day i build around 20 backlink from 20 different website. so far never get sandboxed

 

I'm sure Google thought about this a long time ago and added it to their algorithms. Just be natural and acquire links naturally and you'll be fine.

I mix it up. Sometimes, I do a few, other times, I do maybe 20 or 30. Just mix it up.
