When blending ads.. What's pushing it?

    Hi,

What would google define as illegal when blending ads?

    Sites like:
    http://www.shockarcade.com/
    http://www.mypimpspace.com/
    http://www.adobespot.com/

(And yes, I know the webmasters of those sites visit this forum. Nice sites and clever blending.)

What if I were to do that and align "Stuff by Domain.com" under it? Similar to the "Ads by Goooogle"?

Any idea what Google would say?

    So hypothetically, I could do:
    Header
    Creative text here.
    ---------My Content
Right under a Google banner? The identical format...

    Cheers

    From the Adsense Blog:

It seems that they now allow blending as far as the text "ads by Gooooge" remains visible.
They even recommend matching the colour of the borders or of the background with that of the website.

It's too bad they don't give specific rules.

I'm not sure but I think that before Adsense wanted the ads to be very easily be distinguished from the real content: use of different colours from that of the website.

well they can change the rules as they wish, just as Google changed its rules about censorship in search results (btw the help page about that is no longer available).

I have seen many sites that align images next to ads and "mimic" ads w/ content BUT I have not seen any that align something to mimic "Ads by Gooogle"?

    So for example:
The top being real while the bottom is content...
