What time in general does Digg get the most traffic? I'd like to know for marketing purposes. Thanks.
Any time people in the US are awake. The problem is that sometimes during peak hours your story can move from the top listing pretty quick. My best time was a sunday when my story was at the top for 6 hours and it send 75k uniques.
between 6 and 12 pm American time i would imagine. I have been on the digg front page 6 times this month. Each time it sent me on average 180,000 uniques.
So now I know that the best time is between 6 and 12. So is the weekend, like Sunday, the best day too?
It doesn't really matter. The more people that are on digg the more stories are being submitted, The more stories that are submitted the less time you will be in the upcoming list. In a way it;s probably better to submit during a less active time. that way you spend more time in the upcoming list and may receive more diggs as a result.
Im from the UK. Lunchtime over here seems a busy time on digg. I guess its busy 24/7. I'm never quite sure when to submit stuff for optimal results :/
Digg is a tough one. Have you tried any of the others like reddit or stumbleupon? Top stories move quick on digg. http://www.utahluxury.com
