say an advertiser clearly mentions that they dont want SE marketing, does that mean direct traffic or i can still have a landing page with my own domain and then if the visitor clicks on any link, he/she is taken to the advertiser/product page?

yes. when they do not allow direct linking from ppc to their url you can use a landing page whose url is in your ppc ad.

i just read my thread post again and found that i didnt mention what i wanted to look for.

say an advertiser has specific protected keywords. those keywords, are protected from using it in the AdWrods Ad or even on a landing page?

say i want to create a landing page, for example, promoting "Dedicated hosting server" from hostgator.

and hostgator has a protected keyword "hostgator".

can i still use that protected keyword on my landing page?

You can use protected keywords on landing pages. They just don't want you to BID on protected keywords, you can write about them freely though. Search engine marketing referrs to Google AdWords, etc. and not organic traffic that comes from search engine searches and results. Best of luck!~
