Whay do you think Yahoo would do different/better?

I believe that Yahoo will quickly try to dominate the asian market with the new Ad program. They have a pretty strong brand in Tokyo still even though most search engines just gave up their databses of site to run google.

I haven't done testing but I don't think either(adsense or Yahoo's Ads) is optimized for mobile phones particularly iMode. The first one that can & market it will make serious funds...

But What do you think Yahoo could do different or better?

Hard to say. In general, Yahoo seems to be very money-hungry when it comes to charging webmasters/publishers to be associated with their brandname.

However, to make top publishers switch from Adsense will take high payout rates, or some other kind of great incentives.

The bidding war over % of revenue paid to publishers could be great for a lot of webmasters. But, I think Yahoo and Google are too smart to start a never-ending bidding war.

When Microsoft gets their program rolling... Then it gets interesting. I think they will be willing to do whatever necessary to get market share.

All I'm hoping to see come out of this is Google having to reveal % of payout to be able to compete on a level field.

I don't think G will ever tell us what percentage we make...it is too low.

I do thin that Y! will tell us a lot more of what is going on, percentages, and generally have better stats.

To compete with the proven leader they will have to go above and beyond, which they know

Well hard to say for sure but I must say yahoo I have noticed has become very organized when it come to listing your webpages and links even better that google.

I am sure in time yahoo will infact get there cut of the ad market but I think it will take time and wont be a over night boom. :)

interesting on the 3 way fight for supremecy.

i wonder if serving google ads on google reffered pages and msn to msn referred pages and yahoo ads to yahoo referred pages would be of any benefit.

I imagine that Yahoo will have to offer a higher share than Google in order to get publishers to move over - and may even force Google to raise the cut they pay webmasters too.

    Can't wait :D.

    THAT WOULD ROCK!!!!!!!!!!

I'd settle for them just to publish the click prices and our %'s! G gets away with things no other business could. They need to "stop being Evil" and just put the facts on the table ... none of this "no worries, just trust us" philosophy.

Picture Amazon saying "we are changing your affiliate fee structure ... from now we won't tell you what your %'s are. here's a bunch of sales ... and here is some $. thanks!"

Yahoo ads will be a change for the good. Do you think they will use the same banner ads as google and clicksor or something new and improved.
