I don't think I'll bother posting a picture of my P 106 I don't really need anything fancy, Lanzarote is only about 60km long and 21 wide
LOL! Those are Welds on the front, not Centerlines. And no tubs in the rear, big meats fit under the wheelwells! That's a 1973 Plymouth Duster, with a mild 360 in it. It's run a best of 12.21 @ 111 MPH. It's basically a street motor in there, I really haven't done much to it. Here's another view, no smoke this time:
Ah cool Me not so clever huh? LOL I'll have to see if I can ID the Duster now in my old photo collections, cheers dude That's a good time for a street car, my Manta did high 12s on what's basically an old Buick 213ci lump... ah, one day Did you ever see the 12 second minivan?
Getting this this week: http://www.raceways.net/image/bikeHondaCLR125.gif loaned from a friend. But Im trying to get them to loan this: http://www.motorcyclejournal.net/models/ducati/picture/monster_600_lateral.jpg
Yeah, I've seen that before, that's pretty wild! A few years back I lined up against a Ford Lightning (pickup truck) in a time run... No handicap, we both left together. He whooped by butt, ran an 11-something. And it didn't make any more noise than a normal street truck would.
*sound of jaw hitting floor* Wow, now that's what street machines *should* be... look/sound normal but go like sh*t off a shovel... alot of Brits seem to think the more noise and the more bodykit the faster LOL Now if I could only find the Fiat 500 V8 vid for ya... Dude, my mate's getting one of those Ducatis... he's selling his BMW tourer first, said it was too comfy and too boring LOL I think he'll get a shock when he gets his Monster
We call 'em "sleepers" over on this side of the pond. Mine, although it's basically a street motor, is in a car that doesn't drive on the street. So it's noisy. C'mon, take a ride... Make sure you crank up your speakers first, though: http://www.burwoodboysracing.com/Movies/May29-Run2.wmv
all of those.. plus .... my 99 eclipes, my 1987 mr2 with 400 hp, But my old 750 ducati is my favorite day to day!
I love cars. I currently drive a '97 Porsche 993 (911) - the last really good looking Porsche IMO. (Not a fan of boxters), it's also the last of the aircooled (real) Porsche's - although they did make a few that have a '98 model year. It's tiptronic. 0-60 in about 5.5 - not bad for an 8 year old automatic, and I've had it up to 160. It can make a right turn at 60, and you can downshift at 100 to get a real boost. It also has these crazy torque converters that kick in at 5000 RPMs - sounds kind of like a turbo and they really give a boost. It's pretty much stock, except for turbo wheels and a few little things here and there. Black on black. My lease is up sometime in the next 8 weeks Then I have a '05 BMW x5 4.4 - it's a great SUV. It's red with the super-sunroof and pretty loaded. It's really my wife's car - but I drive it pretty regularly. Then I have a '04 BMW 530. It's a great family car - I needed a decent combo of power and a smooth drive and it fit the bill perfectly. I've had in the past (starting from the beginning) '80-ish Toyota Corolla '73 Beetle '80-something rabbit '90-ish VW Fox Jaguar XJ8 -forget what year, but the year before ford took over, so it worked. isuzu rodeo - no idea what year. It was faster than the mustang, amazingly. '96 or '97 Ford Mustang GT Convertible '00 or '01 Ford Expedition '02 or '03 Mercedes C320 '02 or '03 Lincoln Navigator Can't talk the wife into a hummer, but I'm making progress on the Ferarri/Aston Martin front. I'm targeting a ferarri, and aston, and a rolls before I start moving my attention to boats and an airplane. Of course my income has to increase but you have to get your motivation from somewhere. I got from a beetle to a 911 so I believe I'll get there soon.
http://www.skatesonhaight.com/photos/VSERMG-2.jpg <-- my ride I dont even own a car before until this day... I hope I can buy one someday Cheers!
I put in about 200K frequent flyer miles before I could afford my first really nice car. Travelling work pays a little bit more, but there are drawbacks - it's only fun for a few months and although I still travel fairly frequently, there is no way I'd be up for weekly long flights post-911 - it probably tacks on an hour to the way things used to be. I used to go to look at Porsches for motivation. Then one day, when I was looking for motivation they tossed me the keys - just let me drive it with my wife - no salesperson. We drove it for 3 or 4 blocks and turned around and closed the deal. I couldn't believe they let me have it - I did a no money down thing, and they tacked on 10K to the sales price and just told the lender I put 10K down to get me approved!
