There are a lot of threads like this so I suspect it may get closed - you should use the search feature before starting new threads :)

As to the question, I'm an Atheist and I have no religion. My belief system is simply that a person should do good because it makes the world a better place, and you don't need to worship something that I personally don't believe exists in order to be a good person.

I believe one day we'll become 'God' as humans try to speed up natural human evoltion by intergrating more technology into the human body to enhance it's performace and effectiveness. I mean it's already started to happen with such things as brain–computer interface (BCI).

BCI and any artificial enhancement will hit the same barrier as chemical enhancement and genetic enhancement . Homo Superior will not be achieved any time soon . We have 50 more years of feasible oil and 100 more years before global warming will lead to global extermination . After we deal whit this problems then we can think about further evolution .

You hit a barrier and then you find work arounds untill it's finally find a solution to the problem, you don't think that a few barriers will ever stop anyone doing anything do you? If we can fly a man to the moon then anything is possible as the barriers we had to over come to achieve that were large back then. Global warmings and global cooling have been happening for millions of years, the earth will always go though cycles as it's unlikely that we'll always have the same climate. Global warming right now as it stands is still a myth as it has been found that the ice caps have been showing signs of growth. If you know anything about emerging markets then you'd know Green Energy, Body Enhancement would be a multi-billion/trillion dollar market, I mean why wouldn't you want a stronger arm or for blind people to see again?

Please don't try to troll people by denning global warming . I know it's fun to watch how others foam their mouths or take you for granted and begin a post cascade but we already have enough imbeciles (China) believing that global warming is a harmless myth .

Going off past record global cooling ended up a myth aswell http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_cooling 40 years on from 1970 and I'm not exactily opening my door to 10ft of snow. But if global warming isn't a myth then maybe breakthroughs like this may help us with a solution http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10132762 breakthroughs in bio engineering could mean that we could create a 'carbon consuming germ'.

Actually global cooling existed in some way (not the ice age thing) , but global warming shield it . Funny thing is that the introduction of the air pollution laws and the car catalyst killed global cooling . Nevertheless the air pollution laws where more then necessary .

As for global warming I'm reasonably sure we can kill it but it will be one hell of an effort .

Not while there's money in oil we won't trust me, money rules over everything even the fate of a whole planet.

Well someone needs to keep the primitives in check... by the way, shouldn't you be wailing incantations at a mountain god to ensure a good harvest this year?

I would like to think that we've evolved pass the cash craze . Japan , E.U. , Russia and in the last years even the U.S. have joined efforts to stop global warming . There is plenty of resistance from the China , Middle East and even from idiots inside our nations but they are no the ones to decide for the fate of the world .

There is plenty of economic sabotage like artificially inflating the price of lithium and the price of wind power equipment . But as all who stood in the way of progress they will fail .

Trust me we haven't if any any country in the world tried to price oil in anything other than USD then there would be a whole war over it, USA is addicted to oil and as a result like to control it's price.

A primitive calling others a primitive. How quaint. Takes one to know thyself, doesn't it?

That's pantheism...I am a monotheist. You sure don't know much about Islam, do you?

I am Muslim. I believe in One God (Allah). There is No God then Allah and Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is Allah's Prophet and Last Messenger.

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only!
    Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
He begetteth not nor is He begotten.
And there is none like unto Him.
