    HAHAHAHAH

God bless if someone values their time at such a low cost.

I can't imagine quality work from that to be honest

LOL. I remember that ol' terrible looking logo. It was all in the news about how "hideous" it looked. Excellent points supported by something solid. Standing in agreement.

    WHO?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Geez. He/she has some nice banners too. That's the lowest I've ever seen someone charge for banners. Before on another forum I used to frequent, the lowest was $5 people would charge, just like with logos. This $5 thing is quite common. hehe

You might be heard of tid for tad...
$5 means no arguments with any sort of crap.
$100 means you may covert your imagination.
Some time good designers also make for $5 but its out of circumstances.
I never make any logo below $100.
At least if you spend 5 hr in imagination and creativity then you deserve to get the real prize of that.

For example if you have to make a logo for a client after observing his market, his product range, his value, his color scheme, usability (for b-cards,website,caps or for t-shirt) logo must be some what that may be embed in any things with any compromise.
Logo must detects the theme of your company it doesn't mean you just type the letter in attractive fonts and add some effects like drop shadows, outline of mirror effect.

So one thing is clear i never compromise with my style $100 is what i am and if i think it will take large time then i'll frankly disclose my needs to client.

PS: Feel free to condemn me if i am wrong but you must have your points.

I thing $5 is far too low. Maybe $10 for a premade logo. But for anything custom I would say atleast $50 and if you are going for vector and letterhead I would say over $100 for sure.

It is amazing how people want to bitch at what others charge. If some of you pompous people are as great as you think you are, why even look for business on this forum? Budgets are usually low & not worth your time, yet here you are. I've found people overseas who do real quality work for cheap, why would I pay more for the same quality? Should I do this just to make the so called "good guys" happy? Screw that, business is business & a smart one does not spend extra when it is not needed at a given time.

Well if you must know, not everyone here at DP is a cheapskate. As well as some of us have real prices and real work to show for compared to some indians/ that charge usd5 per logo and never really had any industrial experience.

that must be a quick logo for just USd5..but in my opinion the most quality logo must at least $100 to be charge for..just look at 99designs...

The designer who is only charging $5 dollars could just be cutting his/her teeth in the business and feel that they can't charge more until they are more experienced and have a deeper range of work.

Blah Blah Blah, Who is anyone in this thread to tell someone else what to charge for their designs? Why do you even care anyways? The point being is, if its your time, and your business, who the hell is it for anyone else to tell you what to charge?

Your opinion can be totally that of your own, but by seeing the hostile responses in this thread, you people obviously don't want to keep your opinion to yourself. If it's not you who is charging $5.00 / logo , etc than why do you care if someone else is doing it?

Sigh, AngelaR, is that the best you've got? You'll be alright. haha. Your day will get better. Again this is just a discussion about pricing and you have a problem with it. But nobody is making you come here and post your fussy comments claiming something false as if someone is telling others what to charge. I noticed you didn't comment on that regarding my post. I wonder why. hehe. But I need to grow up and know my role??!! Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Gotcha.

big companyes deals with big designer
depends about the designer experience and portofolio
if u have a big background, than probably u will not charge 5$ even if concurence is big
