What's Your Opinion? CTR vs Content On Your Homepage!

I'm looking for facts & opinion on placing Adsense on your homepage. The question is...

Is it better to place less content with one or 2 Adsense blocks or full page content and max out your Adsense.

I feel giving your visitors more site links to click on and less Adsense links to click on greatly reduces your CTR. - No Brainer

At the same time you want to provide your visitors with the content they're looking for and not seem spammy with your ads. So what's the placement and the position that best converts and also provides visitors what they're looking for?

Right now my site Chilis Menu gets a 2.83% CTR on the main navigation Adsense and a 4.56% CTR in the side bar.

I've placed the site navigation at the bottom right corner, where it should be if you read the post to the bottom then click through to more content. Added a call to action title in the sidebar and placed one single top post add.

I think providing one link unit and one ad unit with a small paragraph on the homepage is best, what's your fact or opinion?

Considering 99% of your visits will be on inside pages, directly from google to your pages, you can also remove any adsense on the homepage, it won't cost you anything and the homepage will look ad-free.
