go off bro..did you see Pink Floyd playing live again for Live 8? "wish you were here" got to be my all time favorite song for winding up the stereo to 11
I haven't seen it, but I really should. "Wish you were here" is definitely my fav Floyd song and one of my all time favorites as well.
Electronica, Electronica, Electronica in that order. Labels include Warp, Morr and others I also like Reggae a lot. There is actually a bunch of other cds/styles I own but lately they've been collecting dust
I'm a big Pink Floyd fan myself.. Wish You Were Here is a great song.. I think Comfortably Numb is my fav, though..
50% garage (not commercial, mainly garage nation) 40% hip hop/rnb/dnb/two step/trip hop/reggaeton/trance/dance 10% the rest I listen to all good songs overall...
im more of the classic ones. i don't like boy bands that much, but i still appreciate their music. love all kinds of jazz, pop, ballad, almost everything depending on my mood
Excellent choices, zman and Dreamshop! I mainly listen to trance (melodic, epic, etc.) and breaks of all flavors (nu skool, peak hour, etc.), and some experimental stuff. Basically, if it's electronic and sounds good, I'll listen to it! Alison Goldfrapp has a beautiful voice! Felt Mountain and Black Cherry are true masterpieces.
Mostly hard rock and metal... recently I've been listening to 36 Crazyfists, Trivium, Killswitch Engage, In Flames, Evergrey. I listen to music because it definatly motivates me and gets me going. And going to concerts because its a great release, and nothing like sitting in awe watching an awesome guitar solo. Bands I've seen this great summer have been: In Flames (twice), Trivium (twice), Shawdows Fall, Mudvayne, Arch Enemy, System of a Down, Our Lady Peace, Disturbed and Ill Nino.... And got my tickets for Children of Bodom with Trivium in 2 months.
My musical tastes tend toward indie rock and alt-country (as you can see from my website). However, I enjoy hip hop, jazz, and anything that is well-written and well-performed.
I am a 48 year old punk rock fan. I never cared for the mainstream, to tame, too lame, too boring, not very real. I've been listening to punk since 1974. While I do like other types of music, nothing sends me soaring like punk. I love it all, but lately been very in to Rancid. If you met me, you would never believe I'm a punk rocker. I look so establisment like these days.
Floyd, Metallica, Nirvana, Billy Joel, Nora Jones, George Gershwein (sp), Old Genesis, The Cure, Guns and Roses. That about my favs, I listen to others too.
We already have got many similar threads here, and you can activate your currently listening song plugin in dp.
