Digital Point is full of people you wouldnt expect to be hanging out around here. I really dont want this to turn into a flaming thread and hope everyone respects that. Whats your music? Type of music, artists, and why do you listen to it? Is it just because you like the beat and how it sounds? Or is it because it motivates you? Or you can relate to the music?
my ipod has Jack Johnson, 50 Cent, alot of old school rap, 80's, dave matthews, fiona apple, sarah mclachlan, benny bennassi, and techno/club remixes. i find different types of music for my moods, i'm a sucker for a good love song though.
I prefer mellow songs but I also love those groovy and light rock music. Songs from beatles, scorpions, and of Elton John sound heaven to my ears.
I like pretty much everythin. Love dance, pop, rap, rock, metal, hard house. No point just likin one kind of music
Metallica, Megadeth, Dirty Rotten Imbecils, Dead Kennedy's, Black Flag, Sex Pistols. Anything pretty much heavy metal or punk. I picked up listening to it when I was a teenager, I was a skater and thats what everyone skated to, never stopped listening. It actually soothes me to hear it now. Not much for Death Metal though, just a bit to loud for my taste.
I love music. And have lots of types I like. But most especially ...Rap, R'n'b and Hip Hop. As far back as I remember, I've loved Rap and hip hop. The first CD I ever bought was a 2pac album. I guess I'm a music wigga. Lolzzzzzzzzzz!!!11@@ etc.
Yes! Finally... I was waiting for someone to say it! Yea, 2pac was my first person to listen to and I was hooked. What you listen to currently?
Well I dont know what it is about trance but it just gets me going. I am about 150% more productive when Ive got the DI streams cramming beats into my brain.
Showing my age, but I love the late 60s, early 70s motown songs. The Temptations, The Spinners, the OJays, etc. I listen to a lot of 70s/80s rock/pop as well. Boston, Journey, Styx, Pink Floyd. Even listen to some country every now and then. About the only thing I never acquired the taste for was rap music. Other than that, I'm pretty open.
I try and open my ears to many things however I stick to my chosen 'selected' many. I used to listen to trance, however I can't work on comp with trance, I can blast it in my car, or drink and hear it.. but rap, mostly upcoming artists on mixtapes is what I listen to in any weather. No Ludachris and all those useless artists
I guess i'm pretty weird on music. I listen to whatever sounds great. If it's country or jazz and I like it, i'll listen to it.
I'm of the "if it feels good" music thing. Really that's what it comes down to for me...I don't care what genre it is...some opera can move me as much as a great trance track.
Dave Matthews Band -- #1 .. Don't have to say why -- attend one of his shows and you'll realize I'm a definite groupie and go to at least 5 shows a year and know a lot of people who attend a LOT more shows than myself. Besides that, when I'm clubbin I like dancin to any Hip Hop, Michael Jackson, Vocal Trance, Disco, 80s, 90s, etc..
I am blues and metal. Really a guitar/noise person. Mostly, I don't like mellow music, but I love Cat Stevens. Stevie Ray Vaugn is probably representative of the type of music I most like. This is a good question asking 'why?'. I am really nice, love animals and nature, yet like the harshest music around, bands like 'Dry Kill Logic' and 'System of a Down'. I figure it is because of repressed anger! Does any think that the type of music a person likes reflects their personality? I am not aggressive enough in sports, like in hockey, I don't like to hit people (bodycheck), and only have been in one fight in my adult life, but my tunes are mostly violent. Is that strange? Do others think the type of music they like reflects their general personality?

GOLDFRAPP! GOLDFRAPP! GOLDFRAPP! lol (I like pretty much all music) (ps: Rob get's a hug for listening to Mr. Cash)
