I don't mean the URL, I mean is it an Adsense site? A BANS site? Wordpress Blog with PHP Bay Pro? Just curious what's working for folks these days. I want to try some new stuff
I dont know what your "successful site" means. Personally I think if it can bring sales, then it is the successful site. Because everything you do is for business. It can make sales, then it is successful.
successful=most $$ (for purposes of this thread anyway) If site A brings in $100 a month and Site B brings in $200 a month then Site B is more successful. Sorry if I wasn't being clear.
Are those auto-blogs or do you write those posts yourself? Do you mind if I ask how much $$ those are bringing you each month?
Hi there, Not a problem my friend, well these are not auto-blogs. I manually update them regularly. Well i am earning $300-400 from affiliate marketing through my blogs.
My most successful site is a blog where I send traffic to all my different affiliate sites. I write all my blogs my self - I think the most important thing when doing business online is to create value: Create value for your customers (The user of your sites) Create value for those you are a affiliate of (By sending traffic, but also representing their products in a decent way) It is important to be honest when doing business online - otherwise you are just contaminating the Internet
Top converting site was a review site for home energy tariffs based in the UK. From one weeks work it turned over over $100k for the vendor (I got a fraction of that obviously) I am now promoting in the health market to a group of desperate buyers and it works like a champ
We had rolled our own price comparison script and added it to a high ranking classifieds website we own. Then, we tied into an affiliate company I work with that sells all those As Seen on TV products. Those products sell like hot cakes! We get a good margin on them too but have integrated then into our price comparison script as featured products.
I make the most from my retail site, but that's handling actual product, not something most people want to take on. Otherwise it's affiliate sites for sure, sites built around specific product categories or niches. I build sites with marketing in mind, knowing what I want to sell. I've never done well with blogs because I don't like doing ongoing updates, etc. I like to build things once, that make money for years to come.
That is the main disadvantage about blogs. There is a lot of work to create a succesful blog and it´s important to keep it updated. Another oppotunity is do create a website with affiliates products, as adept mention here. Then you don't have to keep posting new topics and posts. It will just generate money...
