How does your ROI from social media channels compare to that of say your email newsletter? Or maybe adwords is your most effective form of marketing? I'm interested to find out what's working for you guys
Twitter seems to be my preferred method of free advertising. In my case 1 tweet may bring in around 40+ people. Correspondingly, 10 tweets may bring in 400+ people, etc. Currently, my following, on that particular twitter account, is around 18.4K. Of course the ROI (manual labor-wise) significantly depends on the quality of the tweets and their visibility. They have to be enticing, catchy to get the most out of your following.
You got to dig in to find out what works because it varies across industries. I find that my warm leads are coming from my email marketing.
Good engagement and response always comes from my own list. Outside my list however, I'd go with Facebook first and Google plus second.

Other mediums must be judged by their liklihood of supporting or backing up those referrals, so when the referred prospect then goes to online to "check you out" he or she can find and vet your business.

Social media has been mixed bag for us, for us, mostly it is search engine which gives quality leads.
Social media especially twitter for now. I tweet up to four times a day and it costs me nothing. But the tweets have to be attention grabbing and not always promoting something.

Email marketing works best for me. I build my list using youtube marketing, and by sending them to my squeeze pages.
My most effective marketing channel is email marketing. In almost all advertising that i do for my site, i make sure i lead them to my homepage so that they can opt-in to my email list. At least these people know i'm a real guy, and the offer that i'm selling them is still *updated* and real.
If it's something that has been commercially released abroad but perhaps not in the USA, eBay would be your best bet.
