CPU 1: I've got a 500gb as my C Drive and a 1tb as my secondary drive CPU 2: Two 500gb Drives.. Used for backups of my data / music / websites. If you have large websites, you can fill a 1tb Harddrive very fast with server backups.
I have several HD's and it totals 1 TB. And still I have storage problems now and then. It really makes me wonder sometimes what I got on those disks and if I should select all, close my eyes and press delete. Start fresh all over again.
Like many here I run multiple drives for different things. I prefer anything less than 500GB per drive (with preference of 350GB and below) and each with many partitions; managable sizes. Western Digital is the brand I have confidence in. Print work, video and audio rendering and backups can easily fill up the space.
I could fill up a TB drive in less than a day. It is not that much when you think about it. An alternative is external USB drive. I am using a 250 in a maddog case and it is great. Backups are easy and I can take it and hook it to any computer. Way kewl. Sounds like I should have an affiliate link huh, lol. Seriously, the mad dog case are available at radio shack and are so easy anyone can do it. These things are great. 250 gig is nothing for me. If I did not have DVD's to put things on I am not sure what I would do, lol.
160 GB hard disk and I download lots of movies!! two logical drives are filled with movies and with games which i regularly play!!!
- 80GB Seagate - 80GB WD backup (mirror of the Seagate) - 150GB Seagate (for music) - 250GB Seagate external USB 'offsite' backup drive I totally don't trust WD drives. Never EVER had a Seagate fail on me though (touch wood)....
