My favorite way is to actually recommend my affiliate link to a customer who has already bought something. Haven't had much luck just posting banners/links on my site.
sometimes i just like to joke with my friends and be like, "hey if you ever need xxxxx, ill hook you up". Its my favorite because it makes me laugh as if I was a street hustler.
