Which type of sport do you think is most exciting? What's your favorite pro sport? Have you paid for tickets to see a sporting event in the last year or less??
Football (soccer) is the best sport. I have paid money for tickets to see football matches for over ten years and will do so for as long as live I spend £1000 a season on football tickets
I do a lot of sports journalism, so I get a chance to see a lot of stuff each year. I really love football (American and soccer), basketball and baseball...but I'd have to say my favorite is basketball by a slim margin.
Is soccer really so exciting? I never watched much soccer; Don't you want a game where they score more often ~~ I didn't say I 'hate' soccer, just never got exposed to it very much.
More goals is exciting, but a game where both teams play well and the score is only 1-0 is just as good. I also think having a bit of banter with opposing fans is what makes football even better.
In the US, maybe. Worldwide it goes Soccer > baseball/basketball (it's close...) > rugby > hockey > tennis > American football, if I remember the last "official" poll ESPN conducted.
Whilst I do love football (soccer to our American friends) and cricket I have to say my favourite sport on TV is 'American' football, i.e. the NFL. (hereafter referred to as 'gridiron'). I can only really watch football if I want one of the teams to win, but I have no interest in say Chelsea v Man U or Liverpool v Arsenal. However with gridiron I can watch any game and really enjoy it, it's a fabulous sport.
exactly, depends where you are. Soccer is probably the 8th most popular sport in the USA ...unless you're talking junior soccer leagues and the like that children are involved in.
