Questions for Anyone: What's the fastest time frame you got ranked (on any site you own) on Google's first page results for your primary keyword, from the time you made the site live to the time it ranked? What was the number of competing pages for a broad search (not using quotes or anything by the keyword) in Google's search results for the keyword you targeted? What did you do to get it ranked (e.g. whitehat/blackhat SEO, backlinking, social media, other techniques, or nothing at all)? Is it still ranking on the first page in Google for its keyword? How much money did you spend? Was the domain a .com, .net, or other? My answers to get the ball rolling, here are my answers: Fastest time: 24 hours. I actually beat my last record. This is by far the fastest I've ever gotten any site I own ranked for its keyword, on Google's first page. 949,000 competing pages in the search results for a broad search of the keyword. Nothing really. In short, I created a one-page WordPress site (did not include my keyword anywhere in the content), made the site live and I moved on to another project. Didn't spend time doing SEO, promotions, or any of that. Just walked away after making it live and within 24 hours my site appeared on the first page results in the #9 position in Google -- for its keyword. Then 4 days later it moved up in rank to the #6th position in Google -- for its keyword. Not written a book about it, yet, but that will come in the coming months. Yes, it's still ranking on the first page of results for its keyword. $1.17 for the domain. Hosting I got free at Powweb through a business contact. The domain had the .com extension. Look forward to reading what your fastest record is and such.
