are there certain countries where it would be advisable to ban the whole country because most of them refund 10 mins after they bought ?

    Just wondering...

I have a few banned.. I lost a total of 5 orders from the bans, but I would rather not make the sale than see refunds

I think clickbank need to give a good opportunity to the vendor to solve the problem of the customer before awarding refund.

it would take a big burden on CB to track that.

This doesn't make sense to me. Even if 90% of the people refund, you still make a sale the other 10% of the time. If you found that people from certain regions/countries often refund why not just not put any energy/money into bringing those people to your site in the first place? But if they do come and buy and then refund - what's the difference? You're in the same place you were before. And perhaps someone from that country will actually buy it. Why take away that chance? I'm having a hard time following the logic behind banning a whole country from buying your products. I can definitely see the logic behind not targeting that country if you have low sales conversions, but banning?

I agree. Refunds are going to happen (especially on Clickbank) but in the end I'll think you'll still be ahead than if you banned particular segments/countries.

    clickbank has refund criteria.

They will allow 10-15% refunds, but if it gets too high, they can pull your account.

Certain countries have over 70% refund rates, while other countries have under 2% from the exact same products.

I say ban them.. I do accept sales from these countries, but it directs that particular countries traffic to a different payment gateway where refunding is harder.

If you use PPC to drive your CB traffic the problem becomes bigger as refunds can really mess with your ROI calculations.

You can block specific countries? Is this really true? Which are the worst?

I would say that mass market or money making products will get bad countries as well as good.
