I am surprised more of you do not have pages of your own design. I started with an Earthlink customized start page. It only allowed say 20 links, weather info on five locations, ... and from time to time they would loose the info and you whould have to redo so wised up and made me one of my own. Have weather for major areas I monitor plus all my important links to my sitfriends sites, shopping sites I use, reseah links etc. Could not live without it. At one time had it online as an orphan page so I could use from any computer but accidentally found a private web of mine had been index so took homepage offline and moved the web.

We are in a server enviro. Each WS starts up using a local intranet page that allows us to quickly access common tasks...Google, MSN, logins, SEO stuff.

This is really the best way to use your start up page, IMO. Then custom build your local page to serve you and your many needs!:)

    I use IE6 and homepage = google.com :)

As for firefox over IE, if you'll read up on the press releases about IE7 you'll notice some pretty familiar features ;)

    Netscape and Google.

My inlaws finally got switched to Firefox. I've only been trying to get them off IE for 2-3 years now, could never convince them that it was a good move. But their computer got hit by yet another virus and the tech support person finally talked them into it. About time.

Firefox and switched from google.com to google.com/ig. I've been having fun dragging the little boxes around.

I like google/ig as well. Recently, I've been enjoying "How To"s of the Day. I like most of the topics covered (how to deal with an overbearing mother, how to say hello, etc). TechDirt's feeds are fun as well
