Here's what I use google analytics to keep track of visitors and trends Technorati to get an idea of how my blogs doing I also check my page rank for writting posts I use Google keyword to help bring traffic through keywords. I also use a theausauus to get some alternatives(thats a Uk theausaurus in the link). I use tumblr when I need to post giffs. I use link within to get more views to my old posts. First, definitely Google Webmaster Tools. I'm a Wordpress user and install a few plugins on all of my blogs, including All-in-one SEO, Google XML Sitemaps, and a social sharing plugin (I keep changing which one). For SEO, I find the free tools from SEOBook to be wonderful. I regularly use the firefox extension and rank checker.
