Adwords have always ruled the roost for me, although I have had very marginal success with Yahoo ads. But everything about Adwords is better than the alternatives, from setting up campaigns, tracking, reporting, to being able to be billed for a months campaign instead of prepaying.
i believe that adwords helps me too, because when i tried to sign up they gave free $50 to test their services and it was great because i have great conversion.
