I'm wondering what everyone's conversion rate is? Mine is currently at 6.25%. I just started out a few months ago so I'm sure that's bound to change in the coming months.
3.4% for the quarter to date. Not all of my traffic is product orientated which is why its probably a bit lower.
I haven't earned any sales from Amazon's affiliate program but I haven't put much effort into it either. Their cookies only last a day, their commission rate is low, but it is AMAZON , a site which everyone trust. I think its an over rated affiliate program. Does anyone agree, or disagree with me and why.
You need the volume to make it worthwhile. Although the commissions and cookie length are lower then most programs, one thing I do like about it is the fact that you get commissions on ALL purchases and since the Amazon inventory is huge you can end up making a lot of sales of products you weren't even promoting.
Depending on the site, my conversion rate is as low as 5% and as high as 31%. Using a store means you get higher conversions, because people are going through the checkout process already and are committed.
It fluctuates and some folk who buy through your link will order other associated things, which sends your conversion rate sky high. At the present moment it stands at 7.67% and an average of 40 visitors daily with my Amazon products links. Mark
Question is how many of 1000 actually click the link, then you need to count how many of clickers convert cause obviously you don't have 2% CR of 1000 people who visits your site or do you ?
Sadly, zero at this point, but I've only been doing the affiliate marketing thing for about a month. I've been told that I need to be patient.
I am talking about how many people actually click on a link. Site has many more than 1000 visitors daily. I hope this makes sense now.
My conversion rate is something about 2% but that's because most of my traffic is from Asian countries...
