    true but it can be and index on the traffic or age of the website. Won't tell you exactly but with a alexa of 4 mio you will know the website definitely has not the 10k visitors a day as promised

    Alexa is good for comparing the traffic and giving an approximate measure

    But I dont think anybody would have been laying emphasis on it so much as it has no relation with SEO
