I love alexa. It gives you a false sense of achievement even though you know at the back of your mind it means nothing.
Exactly, and with the blue bar of the FF ext Search Status, it kindda give you sense of accomplishment seeing the bar grows. Although as you say it means squat. And I believe every single poster here knew that anyway
around 300,000 but I've heard that this rank ain't matter a lot and its only estimate against some variables.
My main blog is 864,000 so I guess that is not so impressive....oh well. There is always room for improvement I suppose.
My forum have currently 916,233. Active forum members are like gold dust – is more important than the alexa rank.
Hi ... my primary site is 97,726. It fell about 9000 places this week. Another of my sites moved from 2.5 million Alexa to 339,173, over about 3 months, but no noticeable increase in revenue. It takes much work to keep Alexa low, unless you're the New York "Times," CNN or a porn site. I often wonder if Alexa is worth the effort. Good luck.
its better then nothing but not a true measure of site traffic, they should offer a tracking code for the sites like analytics does then the rank may mean something
Congrats to everyone in the 5 digits or less ranking, I wish I was there. Currently around 190,000 but working my way up
im agree , my site which have 100k visitor /month alexa only 70k alexa rank but i saw another people website with 10k visitor can have 23k alexa rank
