Alexa rank has some meaning -you can use it to compare similar sites if you assume the same percentage of visitors to each will have alexa toobar installed. If someone visits their own site a lot it boost their rank though - I have a website that has a high rank from using it ourselves -it isnt a public site. If someone is buying a website don't value it according to Alexa ranking.
Youtube Downloader - 625,722. Just put up the javascript a few days ago. Dr. Mike's blog - 511,886 for the blog
Mine is 2.5mill... Alexa is worthless to me. 85% of the people that come on my site probably never even heard of it.
my ranking is 797,469 for Blurple.net but its only 3 months old and growing Percent of global Internet users who visit blurple.net: 7 day avg 0.00025% 1 month avg 0.00024% 3 month avg 0.00012% 3 month change 1200% with the majority of users (45%) from the US
Just checked my site http://www.filethe.net and today its just gone sub 200k @199,118 this is only about 4 months old amd all natural traffic, its only a rough guide i fully understand that but it gives you a rough idea that it is doing well. I am well pleased
My programming site has just gone below the 1,000,000 mark, also with natural traffic. Is there a graph or something out there to show what the rough traffic is for a given alexa rank? For example I get the following: www.win32developer.com - Alexa:1,000,000 - Hits: ~90/day www.magicalmerimbula.com.au - Alexa: 2,500,000 - Hits: ~15/day I would be interested in other peoples ranks and traffic to see how much work is involved in increasing Alexa rank.
