Give Number One Priority To the content ! Then Comes User Friendly interface on your site . Then comes the ads ! This is the neatest strategy !
I agree, my personal site focuses on music production articles & tutorials. Whilst the main focus is quality content, I have encorporated ads into the content. The idea being that if the content is good enough, the link will be passed around via friends etc. and then the ads withh get the clicks because of the increased visitors, not just because there is nowhere else for th euser to click. Here's an example article to see my integration efforts (feel free to comment) --> h**p://www.lazyrecords.co.uk/articles/drum-loops.html DoA
I have all sorts of networks of sites, but I've been mainly focusing on #4 the last 3 months. In those last 3 months, I've built 7 quality sites, in which case I outsource all the content writing. This small network is producing about $300 a month so far.
I use adsence on oldy one of my sites. The fact that the site gets about 700uniqes a day means that i dont have to put it on any of my other sites. I'm not an adsence speacialist but i would say a good tactic is to have a very good site with lots of quality content on.
