I was coming home from school, and as I was going home I heard someone say to someone else "Did you see the news?" I got home, and turned on the TV and watched it....it really made me sad .
I was 9 or 10 I think. Didn't realize the seriousness of the issue at that time. My parents were watched the news whole day long. My condolences for who lost their loved ones.
well...i was still in high school, junior year....was in my business tech class, was workin on some bullshit assignment and then all the sudden all the tv's in the school turned on to the CNBC channel and saw all the crazy shit happening, didn'y fully understand what was going on til i saw the first tower collapse. jaw dropped, pick up my celly to call the fam and everyones phone wasnt working cuz all the circuits were busy from everyone else making calls and what not. crazy day....crazy week really....anniversary is coming up actually, anyone doing anything cool for it?
I was in college when this happened and when i got home and turned the TV on i thought a war has started or something. I was really freaked out!
I was 13 when it happened. I was in school, in a geography lesson when it happened. However the school never told us what had happened and I didn't find out about the attacks until I got home.
my mate's dad was suppose to be on one of the flights that hit the towers but he missed checkin so got scheduled in on the next flight.
THANK GOD YOU CAME OUT WHEN YOU DID!!!!!! I was sleeping and my mom came home crying and she said to turn on the TV.....
Wow, that's amazing. I tell you, if something like that happened to me, I'd see life in a completely different way. .
I remember being at home and then our relatives from NYC called and told us to turn on the TV, so we did. At first I just couldn't understand what happened, thought it was some movie, or some kind of joke. When I realized what happened my first thought was like WTF???????? The death count projections on TV were rising, first they said it's probably at least 20K people dead, then 30k, then over 50K.. The general feeling was that they'll find the responsible for this quickly and get the whole thing sorted out. But who would have known it will take 6 years and bin laden is still in hiding. ~MG
At the end it was 2,993 (including 19 terrorists) Right after it all happened I remember watching CNN and that's what they said. But Media is always exaggerating ~MG
Yeah, those numbers sound more accurate. I remember thinking, as I do now, how can a plane knock down a huge building like that?
We had just got home from a trip. My young son was watching TV and he called me, as there was a newsbreak showing the first plane had hit. Then we watched as all the rest unfolded. It was shocking and unbelievable! Later we found out that someone we knew had been on one of the planes, which was very upsetting. My son was very upset by the whole thing and became depressed and had to have counselling. It was a very bad day.
I was preparing to go to school when I saw the news on CNN. At first I thought it was an accident, but when the second plane hit the towers I knew something was wrong.
Thats really sad. I didn't remember wht i was doing tht day but it was really sad...Sorry if u ppl still think it was Osama
