you get advice off seo experts, even top hosts say not to have a number in a domain. no one recommends it. like why? whats wrong with eg: 6ball.com ? what, dont some dictionarys except numbers in domains? i cant see the problem. 6ball.com, easy to remember, thats what most say, yep use that domain, its easy to remember. can someone please tell me if registering a new domain, short and sweet, with one number is going to kill my ranking in the end. i must say, i haven't seen a site with a number in there domain high up in the ranks yet. thanks.
Number in the domain usually hard to remember and number cause you fail to target the keyword in the domain. For you maybe easy to remember but for others , they may think of 6thball, sixball, 6balls, sixballs.
You can use. no problem . but always chose domain for people or customers not your choice. try to use business name in your domain or keywords. its easy for people to remember.
Depending on how they're used in the name, they can be fine. It just needs to be catchy, easy to remember, easy and obvious as to how to spell, and still have keyords in the name that will match searches. If used correctly, the numbers could possibly help your name.
Few times number have worked too. But mostly its too complicated. Thats why you put numbers in Password to make it complex
There is nothing wrong with using numbers in domains when it makes sense. It can be good for branding actually.
A lot of my friends usually hesitate when I send them links where there are numbers in them. They think its fishy. Though in other hands, there are many Chinese domain names with numbers in them since those numbers, when pronounced in Chinese, stands for something in Chinese. Such as "98" means "Let's go" in Chinese. Hope that helps.
I have many domains and some of my sites have top positions on page 1 of Google. I have 2 domains with numbers in them and have good rankings too. Chinese loves numbers because some of them mean great names when pronounced. They are willing to spent large fortunes to get numbers like 8, 88, 888 etc.
In China, the website 51job.com mixed domain, they still running great biz here. the "51"mean-"I want" lol But anyhow, personally, I still prefer Pure letters domains .
