What is wrong at www.pcflame.com? We have "technically" been open since Feb 2006, and we barely have any users at all, especially active ones. I have noticed that about 75% of my users come from a "site launch team" from TheAdminZone and once they get 20-30 posts, they leave. What can I do here w/o spending too much money? Also, why does nobody click the AdSense ads? I have made $2.71 off 21 clicks over 2 months :?. If anyone has any suggestions, ideas, or help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
Forum is not indexed at all !!! So no visitors and potential members You did poor job on backlinks .... And the main reason .... You should have at least 3000 posts yourself today and not 180
How do I get my forum indexed? I did the phpBB SEO mod and the GoogleBot is there 24/7... Also, whats considered poor about my backlinks, and how would that be fixed?
Every link I clicked on in the blog on your home page resulted in a 404. ex: http://www.pcflame.com/news/hardware/make-free-calls-with-the-belkin-wi-fi-phone-for-skype/
This keeps happening also. The WP permalinks stop working, and all it takes to fix it is to go to their permalink section, and click update, and they work again. I don't know why it keeps happening though.
You aren't serious. Posting nothing but press releases will never work. Finding Unique Stories Some news is indeed hard not to cover, particularly when your blog is focused in tech, but there are also ways to grab the smaller, possibly more valuable and definately more interesting stories. Here's a few off the top of my head. Do feel free to add to the list: 1. Use del.icio.us to mine for links and sources 2. use technorati, google blogs, yahoo news and other Search services where you can get to good blog posts to find the smaller, niche blogs to link to 3. Use photobucket, flickr, youtube and other video/photo sites to find images and video to either link to, or just for inspiration 4. Try yahoo answers to find out what people really want to know about your topic. 5. Find forums on google with a query like this (just exchange "your topic" for keywords related to your subject) and see what less blog-centric folks are talking about within your niche
Sometimes SEO mod for phpbb is not good at all it seems. I saw couple of forums not getting indexed for months. I don't know to tell you the truth because I always walk way round phpbb when thinking of forum software Submit to all directories on info.vilesilencer.com list and you will get more links pointing to your site.

if you really want to put some effort to your site, you can submit it manually yourself which will take about 8-10 hours.
It needs some organizing and lots more content, preferably lots of original content. You can try asking for advice in my forum, see sig for link.
It is free, only your time is needed 1. Download this directory list : http://info.vilesilencer.com/seo-friendly-list.xls 2. Use this to submit to directories on the list : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/673/ To submit to 20 directories a day you will need couple of minutes
Thanks to everyone for the great ideas. I'll try to get to work on these and hopefully it'll help out.
