I had an IPB forum hosted by IPS hosting. WHAT A RIP OFF they were!!! Not to mention wildly unethical, but that's a whole can of worms. I transferred the whole forum to siteground.com hosting, and paid for a perpetual license. I didn't want to bother with hassles of transferring the IPB database onto another platform. So I am keeping with IPB. If I were to start a new forum, I would most definitely look at other options. At any rate... stay... away... from IPS hosting.
There are some good of IPB too: 1. The IPB without URL rewrite is still very good with Search engine. 2. The new version 2.2 is really cool with features. 3. The IPB is less on load to server. 4. The codes are cleaner than VB. 5. The skinning is better with IPB 6. The Editor is pretty cool with new version.
