what's wrong with directory pr?

    Don't most of them deeper categories on that directory contain just RSS feeds probalby misleading Google into believing it offers unique content?

    It's not the issue of directories. Many sites have the similar problem. Here most sites have grey PR on toolbar.

    Couldn't agree more, problem is people who own directories don't tend to look further than this, if they did it would be pretty clear that it isn't solely directories that are suffering although I do think Google are putting the squeeze on.
