what's wrong with DigitalPoint?

I got an infraction for spam by PM.

My crime you might ask? Someone requested information by PM, I replied to them a week later and this set them off. They let me know they would turn me into the admins. I didn't think anything of it because one look at the PM and the mod would notice that it was a relevant reply to a question asked by the one complaining. To my surprise an infraction showed up soon after.

The only other thing that bugs me is the 5000 different categories. This is not a problem with DP specifically, it seems all of the mainstream forums go this route. It's most likely to curb the crying from sensitive members that don't have a scroll wheel on their mouse though.

 

I enjoy reading threads on here at least twice a week. I don't visit any other forum regularly - I would but I've not found one where intelligent comments, suggestions, advice and tips are made - they're all LOLs, OMGs and so forth. If you know any better forums - do tell.

Nothing really annoys me about DP. I think there are some crusading members who take themselves too seriously, are out to locate posts they can get irate about and see spam everywhere but they are quite amusing. Sometimes (not often because I'm normally not easily annoyed) the one-line multiple posters with nothing much to say get on my nerves.

I've never noticed a censorship going on, in fact they are pretty outspoken in the political forums here. Turds are not that straight I noticed when I took my dog for a walk hence that point didn't resonate with me either. I've had no experience of being censored. What is DP's problem with you?

DP rocks but it could do without the P&R forums IMO

Please leave the 'nazis out of the discussion. There is nothing going on this forum that can compare. When I first joined, I thought the 25+ post rule was kind of a pain, but the philosophy is that you have to give to get - and how is that bad?

There is a lot of good quality information given out here just for the asking. Take advantage and enjoy - or leave for that is your choice.

 

I cannot think of one single problem with the forums. Everything is set up perfectly and everything is manage properly. If I owned this forums, the only other posibility I could think of would be adding a custom skin.

Not needed though.

I think what MatrixFactor is trying to say is that it's tough when you profess your Love to a Mod and then you get rejected, and to put salt in the wound, you get an infraction for sexual harassment.

But seriously, might seem tight yes, but no different from any other forum of it's kind.

The fact this thread is full of 50-odd posts by lemmings, all following each others lead to say the exact same thing. Happens every day, all day. On every thread, guaranteed.

 

Dumbasses who have malicious intent on screwing DP members and spammers are the REAL baddies.DP rules and rocks in my dictionary.

lol.... wow well today I got 3 infractions... 2 because apparently I harassed someone which I didn't know who so I made a thread and then I got an infraction for asking...
So yeah I change my post to Digital Point members rock. Digital Point Moderation system is just bleh

 

Dp is so far the best forum i have seen, functional and everything is in order.
