Whats wrong here?

I'm seriously stumped here...I started a forum over my favorite tv show, HBO's Entourage..The site is still fairly new but is averaging 33 hits a day over the past 7 days..thats a total of 263 unique visitors in the last 7 days. Probably 70% of that was targeted search engine traffic.

Heres the thing, my site has only gotten 1 new registration, and 1 adsense click from all of that. Seams unreal? What am I doing wrong here? Any site suggestions that might help my signup and click ratio's...Offering green rep points for your honest opinoins! Thanks

you perhaps because it seems very empty, I mean when you go to a forum you like to see it popular, with people online, a lot of replies. On your site the topics have a total of 5 replies. I think you should get your friends to register and write something, you register with different usernames and make replies ar pay some one to help you.

Thanks Quebec I do agree the site needs more content. I will look into buying some posting services. Other than the activity is there anything else that might add on to the look of the site? I am thinking of putting a nice looking banner at the top

After reading your thread's title I'm wondering the same,

What are you doing here when your question is more likely related to Adsense forum?

    Correct me I'm wrong

related to adsense? huh? lol..I'm asking what I can change on my forum to get more people to signup and post to it..Yes, I did mention raising the click through ratio but I am mostly concerned about getting more of my visitors to signup and post on the forum. That is why it is in here ;)

I think you'll need paid posters first to get your forum started. Why people would register to a forum where there are no people to discuss things (that's what the forums are for, right?). The problem is, that you need posters on a very specific topic which might be difficult (still possible though).

I would also change the design of the forum into something more appealing (perhaps some screenshots from the show) and less boring.

And Adsense Ads have nothing to do with people not signing up. Add blocks are properly placed and fit the style of the forum so, no problem there.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your site. It's always difficult to start a forum, running it will be easier. :)

    Have a nice day!

thanks a bunch for the input bender. I have just hired 3 new forum poster's so I am hoping that will get some threads going..

I love the idea with screenshots from the show and stuff. excellent thought I am certainly going to do that!

    Thanks again!

If you can, try and bring unique content to the forums that people would want to discuss, and (for some reason) they only can do that at your forums.

I don't think you're doing wrong, but you need to get a lot more traffic to the site, 'cause if noone is there, people don't wanna sign up for a dead place.

Also, i see people when they first start, they signed up a few dummy accounts and posted some thread, i guess it could make the site more alive a bit

    Good luck to you!!

Well guys just an update. I am in the process of trying to find someone good with CSS to give my site a new look..In the meantime, I busted open photoshop and put a couple screenshots together and threw them up there..Just cause I knew I had to have some kind of imagry..Well, it proves to be paying off..already 4 clicks and 2 new member's and let me tell ya, the images I put together were a quick, unprofessional job...Thanks again for the advice guys and now I can't wait for my new template to be done!

Yup, it's time to change the template now. Dark blue and black colors are good for financial if not religion forums. You need something more colorful and live. Good luck.
