    they always say

    ads by goooooooooooooooogle With a varying number of o's. It just looks silly having all those o's. Why hasn't google fixed it by now?

    Because it's intended. By adding that, it draws more attention that it is in fact an advertisement by google. With all these other textual advertisers coming aboard, Google wants to stand out to inform surfers that they are clicking on an advertisement delivered by google.
