What's with the thread maps?

    I'm talking about the new thread layout, map, or whatever you want to call it at the top of the postings.

    I don't know about anyone else, but I'd like to know if there is any way to 'turn them off'. As far as I'm concerned, it just takes up space and forces me to have to scroll just to see the posts. Anybody else feel this way?

    There is no new lay-out. Probably some preference you (or your computer on its own initiative) set.

    You must have set your display mode to Hybrid or Threaded. The default is Linear, which you can set at the upper right, under "Display Mode" when looking at a thread (like this one).

    Son of a gun. I'm glad that's all it was. I have no idea how that ended up getting changed. Ok, crisis over, move along folks, there's nothing to see here... :)
