What's With All the Banned Users Recently?

It doesnt matter if it was an honest inquiry or not, I have seen threads exactly like this closed and even deleted. I have also heard from others who received infractions for asking about bans (Hasnt happened to me but I never asked about it).

Dont get me wrong - I dont have a problem with what the OP asked. I wasn't saying I would give an infraction if I was a MOD but I was saying that it can happen.

Also if you or anyone else assumes that if someone gets banned they deserved it you could be wrong. That is not always the case. MODS are human too and they DO make mistakes.

Sorry but you are wrong. Do you think the MODS are like gods who do not make mistakes? Do you also believe that everyone who is accused of a crime is guilty? I dont mean any offense to you man but if you think that all you have to do is follow the ruels and be a good boy and nothing will happen to you (bans, infractions etc) you are wrong. No, I am not trying to put the MODs down, I know they have a tough job and have to wade through a lot of crap but they do make mistakes and bad judgement calls sometimes - just like any other human being.

 

Clearly you have not been at DP much. There have been many banned for things that should never have been banned for. Expressing an opinion here at DP that contradicts certain mods will result in infractions or worse. It is not a free speech forum. It is speech controlled by many mods who really have little or no experience. The whole forum is going straight down hill because of an absentee owner who no longer cares.

 

Ok. I get it. Is kentuckyslone banned because of this post? If s, that's wrong.

Seriously, though, if I owned this place I'd be capitalizing off of it. Check dnscoop...this site is worth a ton. Furthermore, the coop ad network really needs some work...but I digress.


Things are the way they are, and we can't do anything about them but make lemonade when we're handed lemons. Positive outlooks help alot.

 

People are banned for the same reasons they're always banned. Please search before posting threads like this - it's been asked and answered quite a few times over the last few months.
