if its showing Pr 1 then its PR 1 and if there is no PR which is PR 0, google toolbar now shows "No PR information available" which is same as PR 0

there was a difference between the pr0 and gray shade! now that is not the case anymore, most of the pr0 sites got the grey shade now.

look at this thread, it is also having a grey shade in the toolbar, because it is pr0!!

I think PR would depends on your backlinks. If your backlinks decrease your PR would also decrease.

maybe the site lost links....some of the sites linking to it lost PR or lost the ability to pass PR or some of the incoming links now have the nofollow tag

It could be that the Google toolbar is experiencing a bug. What do you think?

I don't think much about PR, but when I saw the gray toolbar for 2 of my domains I was really shocked. New domains used to be pr0 after the update and yesterday I saw "No pr info". I still don't care about pr but how many webmasters will link to me if I have "no pr info" even if it's the same like pr0? :(
    Too bad ...

I'm seeing a lot of sites decrease in PR by around 1 point. Getting PR above 5 points seems to have become much harder recently.

My initial theory was that this had something to do with an increase in the numbers of indexed pages. However, check out this search:

    http://www.google.co.uk/search?num=100&hl=en&safe=off&q=the&btnG=Search&meta=

That would suggest that any increase is not that great, since I remember seeing results for "the" at over 5 billion in the past.

An increase in the average numbers of links on pages (due to the proliferation of directories, say) could be having some effect that's difficult to measure. Or Google could just have turned the dial up on their "damping factor". Who knows?

There is a definite google PR update - all forums are talking about it.
Google.co.uk is PR 8 ! maybe they've discounted their own back links ;0)

This time I don't think so that the website backlink is the only reason coz this has happened with one of my blog as well. And also I have found my blog backlink simply double up. There must be something going in G.

I noticed similar change in PR. So I just came to Digital point to see if any of you are experiencing the same. mmm... ok. So this is happening to many of us.
May be a tool bar bug or some PR export or algo change is going on. As usual we have to wait and see I guess. :)

Honestly this is 2007. PR doesn't mean much at all unless you are selling links:)

This true, I guess it is also a status symbol for some. I went from a small but descent amount of traffic prior to update to almost none after and I went from PR0-->PR3. I am not interested in link selling, just traffic, so guess PR did me no good.
