What's up with checkpagerank(dot)net?

I used checkpagerank (dot) net all the time to check page rank validity, but yesterday and today it is giving me "valid" page ranks for sites that check out as "unconfirmed" on other rank checkers. One site I know for sure is a forged page rank, as I own it. Bought it as a dropped PR4 domain (I got it from TDNAM closeouts, so I didn't pay much) but I checked it at checkpagerank before I bought it, and it said forged, and now it says valid?

Someone mentioned in another thread that their was a glitch with them.

Anyone know of a for sure way to check validity of page rank?

 

Your domain might have lost its info in Google. Use info:domain.com on Google to check it.

 

I checked it, and no info from Google. So, does that mean if you check a domain, and PR comes up valid, or unconfirmed, and no info from Google, it is most probably a dropped domain and will lose it's PR on next Google check?

 

If it was valid before, it's still valid. You just won't be able to prove that now.

 

OK, thanks Leet. I'll just work to keep decent content on it and hope for the best. I'll also be sure to check multiple places before buying a high PR domain.
