Yes usually they are called sales letter pages. In fact, they can convert very well when selling the right product! Most of these sites sell information type products
There are many names depending on what aspect of its function you are talking about.... landing page is the first page vistors see so is applicable though a little false as there is only one page. Sales letter pages or scammer sites are the two most common names we see given to these types of things

These things annoy me to death. They're called squeeze pages and only god knows why they convert well, but apparently they do. There are a few ebooks on how to write, as well as templates.
