I recently started an articles writing service (See - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=745702) I was checking the backlinks on the blog that I post the articles to before distribution and noticed that 2 articles had been published(in part) by Google. http://www.google.com.ar/trends/hottrends?q=coco+chanel&date=2007-9-6&sa=X http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends?q=prime+rate&date=2008-1-22&sa=X Now I know this can only be a good thing....traffic etc, but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the overall benefit of getting backlinks like this from the big G Thanks
It does provide some value, but considering it's a ZERO pagerank and has little to know backlinks the value isn't that much. Google may or may not devalue links in this part of their website.
Any backlink from google is valuable even if the page rank is 0 because these links should generate some good traffic for your site.
Links from articles are good. They will gain PR over the time so don't expect the results right now. But that's a great way of getting ranked high in the long term.
