    But in a civil case that would be argued in court and getting to court is a long and expensive process. The legal owners of the files the OP is serving up will have greater financial resources than the OP and his folks. If they decide to act they can make it that this kid's parents have to prove they were/are ignorant.

    An absolute prick once said to me "it's not about what's legally right, it's what's legally possible" - and it cost us dearly to fight him.

    If the download are free i don't think you have problem,but when people pay to download what is not for you,then i think.........

    Distributing other people's property is a crime if they have not given permission. The amount you charge for that property is irrelevant.
