Nice Mustang!!! And I had my 2000 Civic Si up to 137 on the freeway.. little more to go but not much... was a lot of fun though!
My fastest was 245km/h (about 140ish mph) at age 16 in an Audi. I hate how must cars these days have a governer set at 200km/h. It is so scary when it kicks in. Your already moving at a god foresaken speed and then the engine stubles as the feul injectors get shut off. Very un-nerving when you don't expect it.
I guess I am a slow-poke...I've done 112MPH and I was scared as hell...I almost Craped my pants. lol.
only done up to 180KPH on a country road one time with a single cam / NA engine... gauge only went up to 180 tho have been alot faster on race tracks.. cant wait for the turbo rb20det engine but yeah its not worth it for us to speed on the street.. sure getting a little sideways at 3am in the morning round a few corners and round a bounts.. but its only $100 for a day at the track here on the opendays which is cool
Love that road. Especially if you contiune past Whistler all the way to Lillooet. Did it one winter with brand new studded winter tires. Road was ice but I was pushing it the whole way. Front wheel drive, ice-snow, studded tires, and accelerating through the under-steer = too much fun.
145 or so in a Ford GT last week. It's a friend of mines, and at that speed I wasn't comfortable taking my eyes off the road for more than a split second. It was a rush.
160mph on a lonely stretch of the I5 - and I thought there was an electronic limiter at 155. I ended up getting ticketed later that night. It was in a 1997 Porsche 993. The most fun I ever had though wasn't at nearly the speed, but it was winding through the curves up in Monterey, CA behind a 996 leading the way. My cars now all definitely have speed limiters in them at 155, though I haven't put them to the test. I'm older now and even at 33 I know I definitely don't have the reflexes that I used to. I've thought about taking my car (or picking one up) in germany to have some fun, but without really knowing the road, the conditions and the traffic it just seems to add too much risk to an already dangerous situation.
150 mph for a long stretch along Nevada highways in my dad's 84 Nissan 300 ZX twin turbo (still in showroom shape. He baby's that thing). A decade ago or so. I was 18. Never told my dad about it either.
its not fair, you guys in USA have much bigger, wider and emptier road, and of course you have them big gas assuming awesome vehicles out there. I think my closest track is silverstone which is about 2 hours drive away and not sure if you can take your own car and how much it wid cost, i wanna go live in the USA, buy a nice mustang, and find a road to die on!
I don't know what 320km/h translates to, but I've done that as a passenger in an audi on a racetrack.
