yah.. nobody uses it.. Well.. maybe a more people use Yahoo than use MSN, but compared to Google, hardly anyone uses it. I don't think i've ever had more than 8% of my traffic come from Yahoo..

Yahoo is my #1 source for traffic. You need lots of backlinks and good on page seo. Yahoo users seem to buy more than Google users, too, I find.

Yes, Yahoo users seem to buy more than Google users.
We get more traffic from google than yahoo but compared to google we get more signups from yahoo.

I've seen this too. Although Google will send a lot more traffic, the users on Yahoo seem much more ready to buy whatever it is you've got.....

It seems Google searchers are "lookie loos" and Yahoo searchers are serious buyers. MSN converts well, too.

I'm ranking first for certain keywords and still getting irrelevant traffic from Yahoo.
Oh well, I suppose nobody uses Yahoo nowadays :(

If anyone has a problem in the university, looking for solution software firms, whiling away time at home, whatever the reason to search may, all of them have one solution - "they google it"

The only way to get traffic from Yahoo is to tell your relatives to use Yahoo and to search for your terms ;)

2 of my sites get good traffic from Yahoo search. Don't listen to anyone who tells you that people don't use Yahoo search or that EVERYONE's search solution is to use Google. This is not true at all. Yahoo owns nearly 25% of the search market although you'll find that many people on here won't admit it.

In spite of this, I would optimize for Google and consider any Yahoo traffic a bonus. Google will send you more traffic if you can rank high for your keywords.

If you are in the business of selling, than optimizing for Yahoo makes more sense.

My site is on internet since 1999 and I hardly got any hits from yahoo but I get about 1500 hits per day from google. Now I see that yahoo is not listing my site any more... Does anybody know why sites get banned from yahoo?
