What's the rule on using gifs near google ads

Mnay of us use small sized pictures near our ads for whatever reason we choose so to do, but what's the rule on using a gif as in the Flavor of Love Blog in my sig.

I'd appreciate a response

Also keep an eye on your CTR as well. Pics next to or below Ads can get you multiple clicks from same person and can be risky.

 

In fact, using images to increase click rates is against ToS. It is just like saying "click here" I think. Both of them are for making people click your advertisements.

Don't make things up. Images are allowed, but you have to be careful to choose the right images and they need to be clearly separated from the ads. Check the forum.
