What's the role of outgoing links in SEO ?

    I think outgoing links can help you improved your rankings as long as the anchor text contains your targeted keywords.

    True, A few Very good outbound can actually Enhance the TRUST RANK(TR) which in turn increases the credibility of the site. Hence if trust rank increases, SERPS changes are bound to happen*

    * COnditions apply - If your site is a casino site and you link to a Highly reputed gov site.. say..ftc.gov, then prolly this shouldnt help much, but If you have a Forex/finance site and then a link is provided to this site, It would help somewhat..

    Point is link to authority Industry related sites.. and keep the number to a selected few..

    Many respected SEO’s have spoken of the value of adding authority outbonds to your site. I am not 100% convinced of the value to SEO.

    However even if it has no value – it still brings value to your site by adding these links so do it!
