Let me explain the situation I am in: I found out this morning that my themes.wordpress.net account was banned. Why? Because I had been doing a favour to DonCano while his account was still waiting to be approved (weeks after he tried to register). So like any good person would do, I uploaded a couple for him, because unless they were uploaded to themes.wordpress.net no-one would buy a sponsorship. Now this backfires on me as all I now can't update one particular theme. This is a problem caused by a combination of their website and extremely poor moderation. I uploaded the modern blue template and turns out I had forgotten to change the style.css. So I try and update it but it won't let me because I'm not the author (so I uploaded it using my account, but because the author field didn't say rochow it's apparently not my theme anymore and I can't do anything about it). So hmm, I edit the style.css and upload it, however this one grabs the same .zip from the last upload and uses it - ignoring the .zip I selected for it to upload. Anyhow, it won't let edit it either because the style.css is still wrong. I upload it a third and final time, it all works fine. Perfect. I comment on the other two themes (the bad ones) this message: So, like any smart person would do, they delete 1 of the wrong ones, but also delete the one which is correct! I even wrote the URL down "this is the correct one, everyone use this" but they delete it and leave the wrong one. Sure this is a pain, however I would be able to fix it. Except thats right... Good Samaritan has his account banned for helping someone else. What a bad man for helping other people. While we're at it why not report him to google for buying links... What am I meant to do? I can't afford to give refunds on the sponsorships. They have been submitted correctly the the other theme sites however most people are under the belief that themes.wordpress.net is the only site that matters and therefore would want a full refund. What am I meant to say to them? "I uploaded the correct one however they deleted it and left a bad version there. Guess I have to give you your money back now" You can see where this is going on here: http://themes.wordpress.net/blog/1798/wordpress-21-uploading-etc/#comment-209128 Grr this is just so frustrating. I already need a new phone, have $1000 to pay to the insurance man and now this?? Because some stupid moderators couldn't be bothered to take 10 more seconds to read the comment and go oh ok we'll leave the one that works and delete the others. They picked 2 at random and deleted them. Now that's cost me $150 which I can't afford In your opinion, what am I meant to do? Give refunds? Explain the situation, wait a week to find out what's going on, then either re-upload the template or give refunds?
I would: Wait a week to find out what's going on, then either re-upload the template. IF communicates fails after a week then refund the money.
