    hi all,
By google Webmaster Tools,I found there are many 404 errors,
but the form is : our domain name + other web's files.
    such as:www.our domain.com + kostenlose-vollversionen-51/index.html.
I searched "kostenlose-vollversionen-51/index.html" ,found it isn't our files,it comes from other web. I am puzzled,I never link to the web.
do you know what's the reason?
    pls help me.
    thx

those links are in a similar format to links I find coming from spam sites as fake requests - trying to find a hole in your system that might expose a database or a login.

There's a chance there was actually a page with those links on it and googlebot found that page too!

    i'm using a dropped domain.

the old domain owner was having some stupid urls like siteurl.com/kjdffndjf.asp?kjfg=5656

your problem may be similar to mine

Don't worry about it. So long as you are giving proper 404 pages Google (et al) will eventually stop asking.

Those broken pages are only a problem if you think there should be a page there.

For instance you might see mysite.com/buyknow.php when it's meant to be mysite.com/buynow.php
You'd then need to scan your site, and your inbound links, for the source of the broken requests - because it may be a genuine error and you may be losing genuine traffic!

With the silly ones you can safely ignore them though.

I now have 480 pages like those in webmasters tools. All of them look like spam links, but I think it's spam from google, the biggest spammer of them all

I am getting hundreds of these "spam" URL not found errors as well and I have noticed that my google ranking for my primary keyword has dropped. Can these errors affect your rank? Is there any way of fixing or stoppign them?
