Whats the REAL scoop on Affiliate sites and Adsense?

    Hi Guys,

    I'm engaged in an offline discussion around affiliate sites and adsense. Now the affiliate site in question is a PURE 100% affiliate site containing affiliate content and links to those affiliates.

    Is it against Adsense TOS to incorporate adsense on pure affiliate sites?

    It is not against AdSense TOS; however, the best thing to do is to apply. If you are able to access the content and place the JavaScript, then you are good to go.

    Please note, however, if your content provider (affiliate) does not allow you to monetize their information, then they have every right to file a DMCA claim against you. In this scenario, Google will send you a letter asking you to prove that you own the content. This is very rare, though.

    I'm not so much worried about the content and we already have an adsense account - I am wondering if we can place adsense on a pure affiliate site?

    I dont think so.... i think its against their TOS cause you dont provite any content but hey im not the expert.
